Back from Greece - I am totally in love with the country...Will post the pics with the comments later...Just want to mention one thing now: the flight Heraclion-Moscow was the best flight I ever had cos of the amazing pilot, letchikleha, he is great, during the flight he was our sky guide, showing us lakes, islands, cities, etc. and the landing was flawless! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Was at Balkon (www.ginzaproject.ru) yesterday, it's on the 7th floor of Lotte Plaza, the terrace is absolutely amazing, huge, green, with pavilions, rocking chairs and birds in stylish white cages...The food is nice, standardized menu (pasta, asian fusion, traditional salads and soups, sushi and grilled meat, fish and side dishes, the bread is served amazingly - as if it has just been baked, warm and with 'feel-like-home' scent)...

'The Departed' - could not expect the movie to be so good, a very strong and with unconventional ending, great acting by all the actors, but I would mark out Jack Nicholson...

Slumdog Millionaire - a good movie BUT it's not as strong as ppl claim! 8 Oscars? Right, but no other movie was good enough...Surely raising a curtain on how bad (poor, etc. etc.) people really live is a good thing to make a movie about BUT the whole movie seemed a fairy tale to me and not something new...Emotional impact on me - partial, incomplete cos watching you feel that eventually happy end will come...It's not that I didn't like the movie, it's deffo a good one BUT it shouldn't be overpraised though it is...In connection with the 'reveal another world where people live hard lives' theme I would remind you all of 'Yuriev Den', this is the one that is 1000% honest waking us up to different reality not wrapping it in a lightening the impression paper, it's much stronger emotionally and it's real...

The one I liked a lot - 'The Reader', to me it's something else behind the main story, it's one of those movies where we can find a hidden apology for what was done during one of the most shameful periods of German history...The main story shows three life stages of a man who meets a woman, each time in different circumstances and with different consequences for him and her...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - the idea is good, the movie itself is too long, but aesthetically it's good indeed, the picture is always beautiful: the colours, the shades and shadows, the interiors and the views...
